Adding Images & Videos to Your Site with Zeta
Images and videos bring a website to life — and with Zeta you don't need a photo editor or any technical steps. You simply ask, and Zeta places the media in the right spot, sized correctly. This guide shows the ways to add images and videos, and exactly how to phrase your request so it lands right.
Before you begin: have your images ready on your device, or the link (URL) of a video you want to show. Open Zeta from your hosting panel.
Four ways to add media
- Upload your own — share an image with Zeta (drag it into the chat, or use the Assets area in Studio) and say where it should go.
- Ask Zeta to place or replace — “Use this as the hero background” or “Replace the logo with this file.”
- Embed a video by link — paste a YouTube or Vimeo link and say where it goes.
- Ask Zeta to suggest imagery — “Find a warm, professional photo for a coffee-shop hero.”
How to ask well
A great media request answers four quick questions. Include them and Zeta gets it right the first time:
- Which image or video (the file you're sharing, or the link).
- Where it goes (which page and which section).
- How it should look (full-width, a small logo, 3 per row…).
- Any text over it, and a short description (alt text) for SEO & accessibility.
Example — add a hero image

Example — add a photo gallery
Example — embed a promo video
For video, pasting a link (YouTube/Vimeo) keeps your website fast and light. Uploading large video files can slow your pages down, so embedding is the better choice for most sites.
Replacing or removing media
Just say what to change:
Tips
- Use good-quality images (sharp and well-lit) — Zeta resizes them for you.
- Keep your originals. Zeta optimises web copies; your files stay untouched.
- Always add alt text — a short description of each image helps SEO and accessibility.
- Prefer links for video rather than uploading large files.
- Every change is backed up and undoable — try things without worry.
Ask, look at the preview, and adjust — your site's images and videos, the easy way.
