Ubuntu - Extend Storage Volume Print

  • 3

Once you buy new or upgrade your VPS based on the storage of your desire, we have implemented a script to auto resize the disk volume which works on reboot.

In case the storage is not been resized automatically, resizing it is simple by applying the following steps:

1- Open your VPS and navigate to app "Disks"

2- Select the "VMware Virtual Disk" then "Additional Partition Options"

3- Click on "Resize"

4- Use the slider to adjust the storage you have purchased (Mostly to its max) then "Resize"

Shrink Disk Note:

This feature mostly expand the storage size but not to shrink it. To shrink the storage you r required to mount and boot from Live CD in order to unmount the disk, shrink, then mount. If you want to shrink your disk for any case, please submit a ticket to our support to assist you.
