Enable Crossplay on Your Valheim Server

Valheim supports crossplay between PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Crossplay is off by default on your server — turn it on in the Game Panel.

Turn on Crossplay

1. Open your Valheim server in the Game Panel.
2. Click Commandline Manager.
3. Tick Crossplay.
4. Click Save.
5. Restart the server.

To turn it off again, untick Crossplay, save and restart the server.

The join code

With crossplay on, Valheim shows a 6-digit join code in the server console each time the server starts. The code changes after every restart, so check the console for the current one. Console players join with this code from the game’s join menu, together with your server password.

Note: on consoles, make sure cross-platform play is allowed in the console’s privacy settings.
